Microsoft Windows
HOSTING CORP offers Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Server as available operating
systems on all of our servers except for the BasicPath. For Windows Server 2003, we offer
the lower-cost Web Edition, which can only be used for web serving applications, and
Standard Edition, which can run other applications such as SQL Server, Exchange Server,
and more.
RedHat or Debian Linux
RedHat Linux is the largest and most recognized provider of open source technology and is
the most popular operating system installed on HOSTING CORP servers. We also offer Debian
Linux as an option.
FreeBSD
FreeBSD is an advanced operating system derived from BSD UNIX, the version of UNIX
developed at the University of California, Berkeley. FreeBSD offers advanced networking,
performance, and security features.
